Caribbean Home and House

The Caribbean Directory for Home and House, and the Construction Industry

Connects property developers, private homebuilders and construction product manufacturers with architectural and engineering professionals, building contractors, tradesmen and home, commercial and garden suppliers throughout the Caribbean.

The Caribbean Home and House.com Directory which is searchable by country and by product or profession helps the Caribbean construction industry connect regionally.  It also gives the private building or home owner the opportunity to buy products and supplies without buying beyond the Caribbean Region!  We also showcase larger construction industry suppliers who are committed to exporting to the Caribbean.

Business to Business

After working in the architectural and project management industry for 25 years in the english speaking Caribbean island we are well aware of the difficulties of sourcing local products and professionals.

There is a big online space for a relevant regional directory for local and international professionals, trades and products in the construction industry.

Caribbean Home and House.com fills that space, launched early this year.  As a business to business marketplace it showcases international businesses who have the means and the experience to export to the Caribbean. It showcases local businesses with an active desire to promote themselves regionally as well as the more normal island-wide.

At the design stage of a Caribbean construction, much valuable time is wasted on sourcing and specifying products from around the world. This is costly and often fruitless.

Caribbean Home and House.com with its relevant and actively promoted fee-based listings for construction products and services, provides the designer with the information he needs. It also provides the designer with an immediate connection to an experienced exporter and committed supplier.

Business to Consumer

As a business to consumer marketplace, Caribbean Home and House.com also provides a complete directory for anyone building their own home or business anywhere in the region.  Most home improvers and builders believe that they must travel to Europe and the US to find their home and garden finishings, furnishings and furniture they need. This is not necessary,  as regionally there is a huge and unique range of locally designed and built products and services.  To date these have been hard to find.

The website already includes directory entries for over 6,000 design professionals, product suppliers and contractors working in the Caribbean and is directly linked with Caribbean Land and Property, the largest portal for property in the Caribbean, with over 19,000 unique visitors a week.

The Caribbean/Central American region, is a unique market of more than 30 countries with a population of around 80 million people. Most countries have severely limited options for products and services, leading many contractors and home owners to ship up to 80% of the materials for their projects from overseas suppliers. Many design professionals including architects and engineers struggle to source good products in the region and often ship them in from the other side of the world, unnecessarily.

If you have wanted to market to the Caribbean/Central American area and have only found only local island websites; or non-specific websites for your products or services, then things are changing!  Caribbean Home and House.com provides a regional website specifically for home builders, professionals and the home/property improvement market.
