Foreigner's buying more than 1 acre of land in Dominica for personal use, or more than 3 acres of land for business purposes, are required to apply to the Dominica Government for what is called an "Alien's Land Holding License".
Transfer fees on Dominican real estate are payable by the purchaser and are made up as follows :-
4% stamp duty
2.5% judicial fees
1% assurance fund
3% legal fees
The seller has to pay 2.5% stamp duty on the market value of the land being sold.
